Welcome to the blog!

Hi! I'm Mary Sarah

I'm a Jesus follower, mac 'n cheese lover, and travel enthusiast. I specialize in wedding, high school senior, and lifestyle photography in the Frederick, MD area but am always down to travel. I'm a mama to two, married to my high school sweetheart, and am passionate about authentically telling love stories through photography and eating as much dark chocolate as I can. Stick around awhile to view the latest love stories I've had the privilege of capturing.

Sykesville Maryland Engagement Shoot

engagements

Kat & Jeff’s engagement shoot was one of my favorite to date! The weather was perfect, the fall colors and lighting were gorgeous, and Kat and Jeff have such a natural chemistry between the two of them that it made my job so easy! About one minute into my consult with them, I knew that […]

Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge Wedding Pictures

Weddings

When Brittany applied for a job at Sabor de Cuba, she never thought that it would lead to her meeting her soulmate. Mike’s brother, Nick, is the owner of Sabor de Cuba and Mike worked for him as a server. Brittany was hired as a hostess and after working together, the two realized there was […]

Musket Ridge Wedding – Alex & Lauren

Weddings

Alex and Lauren’s wedding was a series of firsts for Brent and I.  It was the first Penn State themed wedding we ever photographed (or attended for that matter) and let me just say, they rocked their theme! It was also the first wedding we photographed where the bride seemed more nervous about the Penn […]

Wedding Glen Ellen Farm – Heather & Kyle

Weddings

Heather & Kyle’s Wedding at Glen Ellen Farm  I love when my couples try to really make their family a part of their wedding day. For their beautiful wedding at Glen Ellen Farm, Heather and Kyle did just that. The only difference is that in this case, their family is their puppies! Heather and Kyle […]

Our Proposal Story!

engagements, Personal

9 Years ago today as the sun set over Assateague Island, Brent Rader got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! At the time, Brent and I had been together for five years and I knew the proposal was coming. In May, we went ring shopping at Golden Nugget Jewelers in Philly […]

Glen Ellen Farm Wedding {Matt & Sarah}

Weddings

I love this couple. They are sweet, humble, funny, and love and serve the Lord. Matt and Sarah grew up only ten minutes from each other but didn’t meet until college when my matchmaking sister Rebecca (whose wedding you can find here) introduced the two of them. Although they shared classes and had secretly noticed each […]

A Gunpowder and Lace Lodges at Gettysburg Wedding

Weddings

When Jessica and David told me they were thinking of going with a gunpowder and lace theme for their wedding the first venue I thought of was The Lodges at Gettysburg. I was so glad they chose it because I think it perfectly complimented their understated theme. Jess’s lace dress and beautiful hairpiece set the […]

Antrim 1844 Wedding Pictures

I have literally been counting down the days to this wedding for months now! I have always wanted to photograph an Antrim 1844 wedding and when Sara contacted me about photographing her wedding there I couldn’t have been more excited. I was thrilled not only about the gorgeous venue but also about getting to be […]

A Shire themed Morningside Inn Wedding

Weddings

Every now and then I meet a couple who were absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt meant to be together.  Sammi and Ben are one of those couples.  High school sweethearts and English teachers, these two have a shared love for literature, theater, Dungeons and Dragons, all things nerdy (Sammi’s words, not mine!) and […]
