Stephen and Michelle are seriously just the nicest couple and their Washington DC and Hotel Monaco DC wedding was stunning! Their romance started at Catholic University during a campus ministry retreat.  They both were assigned to work together on presenting a 20 minute speech on their faith journeys, and during their preparation they started to realize just how similar their moral, family, and life values were.  They started dating soon after the retreat and the rest is history!  Needless to say, Michelle’s parents were thrilled when they learned that she met Stephen at a Christian retreat 😉

Stephen and Michelle’s Washington DC Wedding took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Capital Hill.  I couldn’t get over just how beautiful this church is! It is such a perfect wedding ceremony venue.

These were taken moments after Stephen and Michelle walked down the aisle as husband and wife for the first time, I love their joyful reactions!

That moment you realized you left a groomsmen behind at the church…

After the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church wedding ceremony we headed to the Jefferson Memorial to capture images of the bridal party and Michelle and Stephen. Weather.com claimed that it wasn’t supposed to rain…

They were wrong.

The reception was held at Hotel Monaco and is one of the prettiest ballrooms we’ve had the opportunity to photograph at yet!  

Their wedding decor was classic while highlighting their love of DC with each centerpiece representing a different Washington DC location. After the father daughter dance, Michelle surprised her mom with her own mother daughter dance!

The talented crew from Dapper DJs  kicked off the rest of the night! I love their branding and they were a perfect fit for this Washington DC wedding.

I have no clue what’s happening here, but I love it hahaha

Even the bravest of us can be intimidated by the cake cutting…

AT the end of the night we had to take pictures at Hotel Monaco DC’s insanely gorgeous staircase. I mean, have you ever seen a stairwell this beautiful??
