Frankie and Kendra Get Engaged! {Downtown Frederick Proposal}
Ever since I bought my first camera, the romantic in me has always wanted to photograph a proposal! I was so excited when Frankie texted me earlier this week to see if I was free on Friday to capture his surprise. Frankie told me how he and Kendra had painted mugs earlier in the week at I Made This! on Shab Row in downtown Frederick. What Kendra didn’t know is that a few days later Frankie went back to I Made This and painted “Marry Me?” at the bottom of Kendra’s mug. On Friday they went to pick up the mugs and then Frankie suggested grabbing coffee. On the way to Frederick Coffee Co. Frankie ‘suggested’ that they make certain they had the right coffee cups…the rest you can see below!
The twist to this story is that Frankie was my first friend when I moved to Maryland in 4th grade. We have remained close, and so it was imperative I stayed hidden to avoid tipping off Kendra. A big thanks to my husband Brent for being the lookout and calling me when Kendra and Frankie arrived! He would have loved to also get pictures, but apparently Brent looks rather suspect and was distracted by several suspicious bystanders wondering what he and his suitcase (filled with camera equipment) were up to. While Brent was being questioned, I thankfully shot the proposal solo and got some timeless images for our good friends Frankie and Kendra.
We are so excited to see what God has in store for you! Congratulations to you both.
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them. Kendra’s grandfather and I are very happy for them.
Absolutely beautiful photos. What a gift you have. I am particularly happy with your subjects as Frankie is my nephew and I love him and his choice!
