Downtown Frederick Christmas Photo Shoot
I love living just minutes away from downtown Frederick, especially during the Christmas season. There’s something magical about the twinkling lights and the fresh garland that adorn all the windows and door posts. I drive through downtown on my way home from work each evening and it always puts a smile on my face to see the cute storefronts “glistening once again.”
I’ve wanted to do an evening downtown Frederick Christmas photo shoot for awhile, and it finally happened this year! It took a lot of convincing – and the promise of Brent’s pancakes the next morning – but my sister Rebecca and I finally talked her boyfriend Gunnar into doing a photo shoot with us. We headed out around midnight with the intention of grabbing a late happy hour downtown and then starting our shoot around 2am once the bars close and the crowds die down. We hadn’t even decided on a restaurant when we started yawning and realized that we’re too dang old for frolicking around late and night! We did our best to make the photoshoot quick, starting at Shab Row and ending on Main Street. Even with a time crunch I think we got some adorable shots! I mean seriously, aren’t these two the cutest??
Side note: Shew-sical (in the background) is one of our favorite DJs to work with at weddings! They’re awesome and very professional, we highly recommend them!
I can’t take credit for this pose as it was Brent’s idea, but I’m seriously in love with this picture!
Yes, this took a lot of tries. Yes, I almost got hit in the process. Yes, it was totally worth it.
Thanks for playing Gunnar! I know you’re already looking forward to many more photo shoots to come 😉 I hope you enjoyed this downtown Frederick Christmas photo shoot! To see another downtown, Frederick photo shoot, check out Lori & Joe’s engagement shoot on the blog!
