My heart sunk when I received Ellen’s text that they were going to have to postpone their wedding indefinitely. Ellen and Marco were supposed to get married back in July, but Marco lives in Honduras and due to strict Covid travel restrictions Marco literally was unable to make it to his own wedding. In the weeks leading up to their day, we kept hoping and praying that the restrictions would be lifted but such was not the case. In mid-August I got another text from Ellen, asking me if I was free September 13th because Marco had bought a plane ticket! We held our breath and prayed that no new restrictions would be set in place. Thankfully, Marco and Ellen were finally reunited after months of separation on August 25th. Understandably, they wanted to get married ASAP! So they started planning a new, covid-friendly version of their Milton Ridge wedding. With a smaller guest list and a team of talented vendors they were able to pull it off and had a simply beautiful day to celebrate. I am so happy that Marco and Ellen are finally married! I have known Ellen for years and know she has found an amazing, sweet husband in Marco.

I always ask my couples who do a first look to practice their first dance. It usually results in great candids and most of them have never actually practiced before so it helps them feel a little more comfortable for their time in the spotlight!

The trees were too tall for sunset photos, so we opted for dusk photos instead. I love this time of evening when the colors are more blueish-purple and the lighting feels more romantic.

The first year after Marco and Ellen met, every Friday they – along with a couple of Ellen’s (now) bridesmaids – would snapchat about their Dunkin order. It became a tradition and was one of the ways Ellen kept in touch with Marco were living in different countries. Since Dunkin was such a part of their relationship – and there’s one literally a couple minutes walk from Milton Ridge Wedding venue – we had to take advantage of it!
