Kelsey & Logan’s wedding was a beautiful testament to the fact that marriage is more than just the union of two people, but also the union of two families. I had the privilege of meeting the Carpenters five years ago when they hired me to photograph their daughter, Lindsey’s wedding, and then we realized that we actually lived a few doors down from each other! Over the years, I’ve grown to really respect and admire this family for their strong moral values, their strength during trials that no family should ever have to go through, and their steadfast love and support for each other. So when I found out that Kelsey was getting married, I was curious to meet the man who won her heart and to see if he truly deserved her and her wonderful family. It took only a few minutes with Logan for me to see how much he loved Kelsey and by the end of their wedding there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that Logan truly is the perfect husband for Kelsey and addition to the Carpenter family. Kelsey and Logan, thank you for allowing Brent and I the opportunity to be a part of your special day and photograph your love story. I hope you love your Richland Golf Club wedding photos and next time you’re in town we’ll have to grab that beer together!

When getting ready, I always encourage my brides to incorporate their closest friends or family members into the process because it makes the photos that much more meaningful. I love this series of Kelsey’s mom, Karen, helping her with her shoes and jewelry while Kelsey’s sister lovingly watches.

I just adore this father daughter first look.

Work it, girls!

While I was with Kelsey and the bridesmaids, Brent was having a blast hanging out with Logan and his hilarious groomsmen.

I’m not sure why, but this is what always happens when we ask our groomsmen to “get close.” 😂

The guys had a little bit of extra time (when does that ever happen to us girls??) so they stopped at Idiom Brewing Co before heading to the church for Kelsey and Logan’s “first look.”

Except what Logan didn’t know was that he would be doing a first look with someone who looked a little different than Kelsey…

After getting over the shock, Kelsey and Logan instead shared in a “first touch” where they met to pray together a few minutes before getting married. It was such a sweet moment.

Logan’s son, Jackson, is one of the cutest little boys I’ve ever seen and he was so excited to see his daddy!

I captured a couple last portraits of Kelsey with her gorgeous veil on while the church got ready for them, and then it was time to walk down the aisle!

We then headed off to Richland Golf Club for the reception.

This was try #473,283, but we finally got the veil shot! Thanks Brent!
