Gettysburg Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Wedding
Leslie and Andrew first met when they attended boarding school together years ago! They reconnected first at a reunion and then again years later, and I guess three time’s really the charm because it was after that third meeting that they realized there was something between them. All of my couples have their own unique personality and vibes and Andrew and Leslie’s Gettysburg wedding at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn was decidedly “them.” From the awesome tweed jackets, to Leslie’s simple but classic lace gown, to using Andrew’s truck as a gift “table,” to incorporating Leslie’s dog, Memphis into their wedding, to including time for Leslie and Andrew to celebrate cocktail hour with their guests, to having one of Leslie’s best friends officiate the wedding, every detail was planned around what Leslie and Andrew value as a couple which made it the perfect wedding for them. It’s so easy to get swept up in feeling like you have to conform to certain wedding standards and do all of the wedding “things” that don’t even make sense half of the time. I love that Andrew and Leslie were able to recognize what they wanted for their wedding and then make that a reality. Your Battlefield Bed and Breakfast wedding was beautiful and I wish you all the best in your future marriage!
I can’t decide what I love more, Andrew’s truck or his adorable ring bearer.
Leslie & Andrew didn’t want a lot of posed portraits of the two of them, so instead I just asked them to practice their first dance and I love the images I was able to capture as a result.
I love how simple and organic the reception decor was. It fit perfectly with the rustic feel of the barn.
As a wedding gift, Andrew’s niece sang, “Can’t help falling in love” during the reception. She surprised Leslie & Andrew with the song and it was such a sweet moment.
There’s nothing better than when the mother of the bride makes an appearance on the dance floor!
Towards the end of the evening, Leslie asked if we could get a few pictures of them with her sweet dog, Memphis.
After we said our goodbyes to Memphis, I convinced Leslie and Andrew to give me one more minute of their time to capture a romantic night portrait of the two of them. I think it’s the perfect shot to end such a beautiful evening.
