In the days leading up to Mackenzie & Zach’s Bluebird Manor wedding, the weather was predicting a 100% chance of rain pretty much all day. Not the best odds. Mackenzie & Zach were travelling up from Charlotte, NC for their wedding day and bringing many guests and even vendors with them, so we were all praying the forecast would change. Thankfully, Saturday morning dawned dreary but dry! The rain held off almost all day and allowed us to capture beautiful pictures around one of my favorite wedding venues in Frederick MD!

I love this sweet first look between Mackenzie and her dad.

When you can’t do a first look, the next best thing is a first touch! This is a time where the bride and groom can meet a few minutes prior to the ceremony to pray for each other, exchange gifts or cards, or just laugh and cry together. It helps get some of those wedding day nerves out of the way and allows for a few more minutes together on your wedding day.

With a staircase this epic, you have to build in the time to get a few pictures inside Bluebird Manor’s red barn.

The amazing owners at Bluebird Manor are always looking for ways to make their wedding venue in Frederick MD even cuter! They had just finished decorating the inside of their silo so we had to get a few romantic portraits in there a well!

When it comes to wedding venues in Frederick MD, Bluebird Manor has without a doubt the most elegant barn reception in the area! How gorgeous are these high ceilings and chandeliers? It’s the perfect blend of elegance meets rustic.

With the exception of a 5 minute rain shower while we were photographing bridesmaid pictures, the rain held off until the reception which meant epic night rain shots! I love how this wedding rain photo came out! Afterwards, we headed to the corn crib where Mackenzie & Zach had set up a cigar bar for one final picture of the night.

Congratulations again, Mackenzie and Zach! I couldn’t have picked a prettier wedding to kick off my 2021 wedding season and I want to wish you the happiest of marriages!
