Bluebird Manor Wedding Photos
Jessi & Mike’s Bluebird Manor wedding was the perfect way to close out a wild 2020 wedding season. Their day was overflowing with laughter, joy, and happy tears — the kind of wedding that reminds you exactly why documenting love stories is such a gift.
Jessica was absolutely breathtaking. Her joy and excitement were contagious, her smile never left her face, and her train was truly the stuff of dreams. From the very beginning of the day, it was clear how much heart and intention went into every detail — especially the way Jessi and Mike thoughtfully incorporated their children into the celebration.
More than once, I found myself tearing up — first during Jessi’s sweet first glance with her dad, then during Mike’s beautiful (and hilarious) vows, and again when Jessi shared a special dance with her 90-year-old grandfather. Despite the windy, overcast weather, the deep blue clouds around sunset created the most stunning backdrop, and the soft gray skies allowed us to photograph all around the property without harsh light. I left their wedding feeling incredibly grateful — both for Jessi and Mike, and for getting to call wedding photography my job. If you love the charm of this venue, you may also enjoy seeing Bailey & Brady’s early fall Bluebird Manor wedding, another beautiful celebration that highlights just how timeless this Frederick MD wedding venue can feel.
Now, grab a glass of wine (and maybe a tissue), and enjoy their gorgeous Bluebird Manor wedding photos.

Getting Ready and Meaningful Moments at Bluebird Manor
I just adore the bridal suite at Bluebird Manor, fondly referred to as The Nest.

Jessi was a gorgeous bride and her train was the most beautiful train I’ve ever seen!

Jessi originally wanted to do her first touch around the Red Barn, but when guests began arriving early, we pivoted to this adorable silo instead — and I honestly loved it even more.

A Beautiful Ceremony and Celebration at Bluebird Manor
Jess & Mike chose to get married inside The Chapel at Bluebird Manor, which turned out to be a good thing given how windy and chilly it was. LeRoy French Flowers did a beautiful job decorating the space.

The officiant’s masks were hands-down one of the best things to come out of COVID. She peeled them off one at a time, revealing “Ready?” then “Sure?” followed by “Last Chance,” and finally — “Game on!” It was such a lighthearted moment during an emotional ceremony.

It’s easy to capture beautiful Bluebird Manor wedding photos — there are endless gorgeous backdrops, and of course, it helps when the couple is pretty dang gorgeous themselves.

While we didn’t get a traditional sunset due to the cloud cover, the soft blues in the sky still gave us such a beautiful atmosphere for portraits.

I just adore the rustic elegance of Bluebird Manor’s Red Barn.

Jessica’s grandfather celebrated his 90th birthday on their wedding day, and the two of them shared the sweetest dance together — a moment I know will be cherished forever.

Toward the end of the night, I pulled Jessi and Mike aside for a few final romantic night portraits. Thanks to a little creative help from deodorant spray (props to Mark from MAO Cinematic for the idea!), we ended the evening with some truly magical images — the perfect finale to an unforgettable Bluebird Manor wedding.
