Rockwood Manor Wedding
I couldn’t have picked a better wedding to end the 2019 season. It was such a special blessing getting to photograph Rachael & Jeff’s Rockwood Manor wedding. Rachael and her brother Zach lived down the street from me growing up, and I always viewed them as honorary little siblings. (As if I didn’t have enough!) As a wedding photographer, I often get to share in some of the more intimate moments of a wedding that few others get to see. During their wedding, I found myself getting emotional as I photographed Rachael & Jeff’s first touch, the first look she did with her bridesmaids, the private cake cutting and first dance they shared while no one else was around, and the few minutes where Rachael wanted to be alone right before she walked down the aisle. I was so thankful to be there for those moments and to get to document them so Rachael and Jeff could look back on them for years to come. Rachael, I’m so happy that you found a guy as good as Jeff and I wish you two a wonderful, laughter-filled marriage 😊
I just adore this first look between Rachael and her bridal party, especially her brother, Zach, seeing her for the first time.
Rachael did such a great job picking out the colors for their fall wedding. Rachael, you are soo beautiful!
Rachael kept saying she really wanted golden hour images and followed my advice and planned the ceremony start time so that golden hour would follow immediately after. I was a little concerned that being surrounded by woods we wouldn’t get enough light for that “golden look,” but thankfully my concerns weren’t warranted. I caught this light peaking out between the trees and literally rushed Rachael and Jeff over and captured these pictures with the few minutes of golden light we had. I’m just so in love with them!
My crazy family.
I’ll give you one guess what song these last four pictures were taken during…
If you guessed, “Don’t Stop Believing” you were right. I mean, can anyone listen to that song without playing air guitar and singing as loudly as humanly possible?? I think not. Congrats again Rachael and Jeff! I am just so happy for you both and so loved being a part of your special day.
