Maryland Wedding Photographer | Bailey & Steve
Bailey & Steve’s wedding was truly special. Brent and I have photographed a lot of weddings in our time, and we kept saying how perfect their wedding was last Saturday. The weather was gorgeous, the decorations were stunning, the timeline was relaxed and ran perfectly (largely thanks to their awesome planner, Gary) and the setting was just beautiful. But what stood out more was the people. Bailey and Steve are such genuine, good people and their friends and families are as well. Everyone was relaxed, laughing, hugging, and genuinely enjoying themselves all day. Their families are so kind and loving and made Brent and I feel like a part of the day rather than just the hired photographers. The toasts were beautiful, I even found myself tearing up during them, and then tearing up again when Steve’s brother surprised him and sang for their mother-son first dance. It truly was a perfect day for the perfect couple and I am so genuinely happy for the life that Steve and Bailey are beginning together 😊
Steve used to pitch for the Orioles, so these baseball bat mugs were the perfect groomsmen gift.
I love Bailey’s expression as she snuck up on Steve for their First Look. I also love Steve’s expression when he saw how beautiful his soon-to-be bride was 🙂
Word of warning: if you have a dress with a lot of layers in it and you’re walking through the grass, you’re going to get bugs in it. That said, this is the first time I’ve had a bride get a massive, horrifying spider in her gown! I’d like to say I rushed to Bailey’s side to help… but instead I just watched and photographed in horror as her braver bridesmaids came to her rescue instead. 😂 I’m so happy that Bailey & Steve were willing to be a little patient for golden hour. Literally right as we got them in the perfect spot, the sun went behind a cloud and that cloud just didn’t feel like moving. Thankfully, Bailey & Steve were in no rush and after a few minutes the sun came back out and we were able to capture a few gorgeous golden hour images.
I’ve never been a huge fan of tent wedding receptions until I saw Bailey & Steve’s tent. I loved the twinkle lights and the high ceiling, and Gary and his team did an incredible job with the table decor!
