This Baker Park maternity shoot was a special one. I met Sumble this past year when she and Nathan joined our church home group. At first, Sumble was incredibly shy and barely spoke a word, but over the months she slowly warmed up and has now become a great friend. It was so fun seeing her laughing and totally working her maternity shoot! It also helped that our good friends Ansu and Renu came along and acted like her personal hair & makeup entourage; changing up hairstyles for each gown, touching up makeup, floofing the gowns, etc. We were getting some crazy looks, especially when I whipped out my pop-up travel tent, (and when I almost fell into the creek trying to get “the shot”) but at the end of the day we had so much fun and captured some beautiful images of the gorgeous Sumble!

For her first gown, Sumble chose the blue Brittany gown. I absolutely love how the royal blue pops against the green of the willow trees along Baker Park’s creek.

Sumble’s second maternity gown was the Aurora Gown by Leah Marie Couture. I love how delicate this gown is and she looked so sweet with her side braid.

Funny story, we photographed Sumble’s Baker Park maternity shoot literally two days after it had completely flooded. The sidewalk is so light here not because of the color of the stone, but because of the fine layer of dried mud on top of it. I also had to shoot from some unique angles so you couldn’t see the benches that were caked in mud and dried debris. 😂

For her final gown, Sumble decided to go a little more dramatic and chose the red Catherine Gown by Sew Trendy Accessories from my client closet. I’m in love with the train on this dress and the option to wear the sleeves up or down. I think it’s safe to say that Sumble totally rocked this dress!

Congratulations Sumble & Nathan on your growing family! I can’t wait to meet baby Ryan and it was such a pleasure getting to photograph this special time in your life!
