Stone Tower Winery may be my current all time favorite wedding venue. Between the gorgeous vineyards, pond, reception hall, and wine cellar it’s hard to find a venue in the Leesburg and Loudoun County area that doesn’t offer more. Which is why I was so excited to participate in a Stone Tower Winery wedding styled shoot!

Inspired by the approach of 19th century French Impressionists, this styled shoot chose to focus on the color, texture, and movement of that time period.  I had the opportunity to work with an incredibly talented team of artists who put together a memorable shoot featuring bright colors and hand-painted touches to reflect the French Impressionist movement.

Some of the highlights of the shoot were a hand-painted cake and dessert table, beautifully painted calligraphy featuring the grounds of Stone Tower Winery, a wine bar, and a gorgeous floral arch for the ceremony. The bride and groom, David and Kaitlyn were married six months earlier at Stone Tower Winery but it was a bitterly cold November and so they were unable to get all of the outdoor pictures they wanted.  They were thrilled to be able to return to the place of their wedding but this time on a beautiful, warm spring day. Their sweet personalities and love coupled with the beautiful, colorful backgrounds of Stone Tower caused the images to feel as if they had stepped straight off an impressionist painting. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I enjoyed getting to photograph them!

Megan from Scout’s Bakeshop hit it out of the park with this gorgeous dessert table. I didn’t even know you could paint on cakes before this styled shoot, but was just absolutely amazed by Megan’s talent.

I can’t get over the painted cake and cookies! So beautiful!

Westvirjeni did an incredible job on the florals, especially this gorgeous flower arch!
