Jessica & Craig met back in 2011 while working together at a movie theater. They started dating a few months later and stayed strong despite the distance that separated them when Jessica left to attend WVU. After college, she moved back to Maryland for grad school and the two are now excitedly planning their wedding! They admitted that they’re more silly than serious and wanted to do something a little different from a traditional Frederick Maryland engagement shoot. After some planning together, we decided that a bike engagement shoot would be perfect for the two of them! The only problem was the bike they found took a lot more effort to make pinterest worthy than anticipated. (Isn’t that always the case?!) As a result, it wasn’t quite done in time for the shoot (meaning it mayyy have been missing one pedal) but despite that they still rocked their bike engagement shoot and laughed through the whole thing!

The story these serenely beautiful pictures don’t tell is that it was right around this time that we were literally swarmed by legit mutant, giant mosquitoes. I have never in my life seen such large mosquitoes and every few seconds we were having to stop to swat them off of us! I legit had to photoshop mosquito bites AND mosquitoes out of these last pictures!! Thanks for being such troopers through it all, Craig & Jess!

If you look closely at Craig’s shirt in the b&w, you’ll see I missed a mosquito. Seriously, look how huge that bug was!!
Towards the end of the shoot, the start of a rainbow began to appear! We were hoping it would grow stronger, but it sadly fizzled out. 

Craig and Jessica, you two were so fun and I absolutely loved getting to know you two and photographing this special time of your life! A huge thank you for bringing the bike, picnic props, and for laughing through the mosquito swarm!
