Strong Mansion Wedding Pictures | Maryland Wedding Photographer
Ever since I was a kid, I remember driving by Strong Mansion on our way to Sugarloaf and dreaming about what it would be like to explore the grounds and mansion interior. When I got into wedding photography, I always hoped one day I would have the opportunity to capture Strong Mansion Wedding Pictures, and thanks to Kevin and Michaela my dreams have finally come true! Let me tell you, Strong Mansion does not disappoint. The mansion, with its floor to ceiling windows, is positively elegant, the grounds are immaculate, and the Formal Gardens are straight out of a European estate. It was the perfect backdrop for Michaela & Kevin’s perfect wedding day.
Michaela & Kevin met online and despite the two hour distance between them, decided to meet up for dinner and a movie. Dinner went great, and with time to kill before the movie started, they decided to walk around the nearby shops. As they passed a jewelry store, Kevin joked that they shouldn’t go look at engagement rings “just yet.” Michaela says she will always remember that moment because she immediately thought to herself that she could marry this guy one day. Two years later, they decided to put an end to the distance that divided them, and they purchased a home together in Maryland. Then, a year and a half later, Kevin completely surprised Michaela with the perfect proposal at their favorite restaurant in front of their closest friends and family.
Michaela’s engagement ring was actually designed and created by the same jeweler who made her mother’s ring! Kevin spoke with Michaela’s parents to find out the details of her jeweler, and finally tracked him down to a local shop in North Carolina. The two worked together to create the perfect design for Michaela’s ring!
This is one of my all time favorite bridal getting ready images!
First looks don’t have to just be between the bride and groom. I love this first look between Michaela and her bridesmaids!
Michaela, you are stunning!!
First looks just make my heart so happy! Every single one of my couples who have done a first look have said afterwards how thankful they were to have had that special moment between just the two of them.
Waiting for the ceremony to begin…
All of Strong Mansion is gorgeous, but my favorite part of it without a doubt is the Formal Gardens. It’s only fitting that Michaela & Kevin honeymooned in Italy because their wedding looked like it had stepped straight out of a European garden!
Since having a daughter, Brent and I find ourselves getting way more emotional during the father-daughter dance. Michaela and her dad’s sweet dance was no exception.
