Liberty Mountain Resort Wedding Photography; Mount St. Mary’s Wedding

Brent and I feel so blessed to have been able to photograph Andrew & Kaitlin’s beautiful Mount St. Mary’s wedding day. We were a little nervous when we arrived at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception and it was literally raining sideways, but thankfully the rain stopped by the time the wedding ceremony was over and we were able to capture a few images around the grounds of Mount St. Mary’s! Afterwards, for their wedding reception we headed to Liberty Mountain Resort.  Andrew & Kaitlin are such beautiful people and I have truly enjoyed getting to know these two (and their dog Boomer!) and be a part of capturing their love story.

Andrew and Kaitlin first met on campus at Mount St. Mary’s University through a completely random, perfectly-timed moment.  As Kaitlyn entered her apartment, Andrew and his friend happened to be walking through the halls. Andrew’s friend glanced in, recognized Kaitlin’s roommate as a childhood friend and walked right in to catch up!  Kaitlin and Andrew exchanged awkward introductions, but soon found themselves wrapped in conversation for the rest of the evening. This chance encounter turned into homework dates, long walks through campus, and the start of a lifelong romance. During this time, Andrew began the process of becoming Catholic and Kaitlin was his confirmation sponsor. Between meeting on campus, joining the Catholic church, and now getting married in IC Chapel, Mount St. Mary’s is such a special place for the both of them.

Kaitlin’s dad made this table for her and Andrew as a wedding guestbook and Andrew personalized this jewelry box for her!

Kaitlin was such a natural, beautiful bride 🙂 Also, her hairpiece was gorgeous!!

Andrew’s father passed away a few years ago, so it was important for Andrew to get a few pictures of both of their wedding rings together.

Man and wife!

Because Mount St. Mary’s played such a special part in their relationship, I wanted to capture a few romantic portraits of them in the chapel.
