Baltimore MD Wedding Photographer – A Backyard Country Wedding
I love all of my couples, but some of them I just really click with. I realized Kat & Jeff were one of those couples when we met up for a brief consult over happy hour and three hours later were still munching on crab dip and chatting away! I have so enjoyed getting to know these two this past year and it was with great anticipation that I was looking forward to their backyard country wedding. That is, until an 80% chance of thunderstorms all day was predicted! Thankfully, as the weather forecast has been known to do pretty much every single day this summer, the thunderstorms kept getting pushed back further and further and we ended up having absolutely no rain the entire day with even some gorgeous golden hour lighting at the end! Between the weather cooperating and Kat and Jeff being one of the cutest, most natural couples I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing, I was one happy photographer all day 🙂
Kat’s rainbow, tye-dyed chucks were so her!
I love these images of Kat with her dog, Callie.
Jeff and Kat’s First Look was so sweet it had me tearing up!
Kat & Jeff chose to write their own vows to share between just the two of them during this intimate moment. I couldn’t hear what they were saying because I was using my zoom lens to give them privacy, but I love the authentic reactions that I was able to photograph as a result.
Sometimes you just have to have a little bit of fun on your wedding day, and when Jeff suggested we capture a couple images on Kat’s motorcycle I was all for it! We were all cracking up when the two of them got on the bike but I then asked Kat to give me her best Blue Steel look and I gotta say, she rocked it!
Now back to being all lovey-dovey and romantic…
Just a few minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, I noticed the box of boutonnieres lying on the dining room table… Needless to say there was a mad dash to get those things pinned in time!
As I mentioned earlier, it was supposed to thunderstorm all day but thankfully the wedding remained dry the whole time! However, about halfway through the ceremony I was convinced that we were going to suffer a downpour, just check out how quickly the skies changed!
As a photographer, I’m not always the biggest fan of photobombs, but in this case Callie provided one of the best photobombs of all time!
I love when my couples give me extra time to pull them for sunset or golden hour shots. The problem was the sun would emerge for a couple minutes resulting in gorgeous lighting, and then would just as quickly go away. Kat and Jeff were super flexible, with Jeff constantly on the lookout for the right light and grabbing Kat to capture a couple extra photos here and there during their reception. Seriously, these two are my dream couple!
Oh man do I love this series! Kat had the perfect twirling dress so we had to make the most of it!
Congrats Kat & Jeff! Your wedding was so much fun and I have really enjoyed getting to know you two this past year!
