Get excited cuz this Linganore Winecellars engagement shoot features Sammy Stakem who in my unbiased opinion is one of the coolest people ever and has also been one of my best friends since 4th grade. If you need proof, below you will find a picture from my 4th grade birthday party in which I (the one in the stylish glasses and striped shirt) am sitting next to my bff Sammy in the white.

While it’s hard to be as awesome as Sammy I would say Collin gives her a run for her money. (Sammy still wins of course.) I know very few guys who would brave an engagement shoot during a hot summer evening where the humidity is a suffocating 100% causing your clothes to instantly stick to you. Collin did so without a complaint and with a smile and even let me have some of his wine which was delicious!  Yep, Sammy did good 🙂

The rolling hills at Linganore Winecellars are just stunning.

It was at this point that Brent called me to inform me it was pouring at our home. I checked the forecast again – 0% chance of rain. As I put away my phone I felt the first raindrop. We quickly drove back to the tasting room and the wonderful staff at Linganore Winecellars let us take a few photographs in their barrel room. I have always wanted to do a barrel room engagement shoot so I was incredibly excited to play around with some lighting and Collin and Sammy were great models! Just as we were finishing up the rain stopped and the sky got a touch of pink in it so we grabbed a couple quick sunset shots. 

Congratulations Sammy and Collin! Thank you for braving the humidity for our Linganore Winecellars engagement shoot. I am so happy that you two found each other and can’t wait to be in your wedding in January at Holly Hills!  Love you!
