Engagement shoots are so fun because they give us time to get to know our couple better and showcase their interests and personalities.  Heather and Kyle are both dog lovers and as such wanted to incorporate their family of four puppies into their engagement shoot. We met at their home to get pictures in their back yard with the dogs and then headed to Piney Run Park afterwards to capture images of just the two of them.  When I first met up with Heather and Kyle we chatted briefly about their dogs, but I completely forgot how many they had until I showed up for their engagement shoot.  I’m not going to lie, I had a mini panic attack when I saw four dogs, especially after having had difficulty in the past with getting just one dog to cooperate!  Thankfully, with the help of Heather, Kyle, and a bag of cheese – their favorite snack – we were able to capture adorable images and get the dogs to cooperate!

Well, most of the time… 😉 This was Heather’s idea and it definitely took some doing but I love how it turned out!

Piney Run Park in the fall was gorgeous!  I love the dress that Heather picked and the combination between the fall colors and sunlight was beautiful!
