April shower bring May flowers and beautiful engagement shoots. When the weather started forecasting rain, rather than getting upset Phil and Laura Beth decided to embrace the rain in hopes to get more unique photos. They ended up getting the best of both worlds; as their shoot started out with a light drizzle only to turn into a beautiful spring day.

I have been blessed to know Laura Beth for years. She attended my church and was one of my sister’s best childhood friends.  Her dad was even my youth leader for awhile and it has been fun seeing Laura Beth grow into a beautiful, sweet woman of God. She and Phil are both teachers and have a love for children and the Lord. This was the first time I got to meet Phil and I could instantly see that these two just clicked together. They were constantly laughing together and seemed to perfectly complement each other.

You have to have a little fun playing in the rain 🙂

I love when my couples incorporate their own personalities and interests into their engagement shoot. Phil is a huge Star Wars fan and so he wanted a few images showcasing his love of the franchise. I happen to be a Star Wars fan myself so I had a lot of fun with these 🙂
