Tanner & Meghan’s University of Maryland Engagement Shoot

Tanner and Meghan are absolutely adorable. They are so fun, always laughing together, and just plain cute.  When we met together for our consult at Panera I instantly felt like we hit it off together, especially after Meghan and I bonded over the deliciousness that is cinnamon crunch bagels.  Since Tanner and Meghan met at UMD they wanted to do their engagement shoot there, and I was beyond excited to hear that they planned on doing a University of Maryland Engagement Shoot at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium!  This may be my favorite engagement shoot to date.  Photographing in an empty stadium was awesome, and it allowed us time to showcase Meghan and Tanner’s fun, and at times competitive, personalities.  Enjoy!

Props to my sister Rebecca who is a senior at UMD and came along to help hold my flashes and capture a few different angles.  She captured the adorable shot below!University of Maryland Engagement Shoot (10 of 34)

Earlier before the engagement shoot, Rebecca and I walked around campus so I could familiarize myself with the area since it had been awhile since I had visited UMD.  We were horrified to discover that the fountain at the mall had been the victim of a Halloween prank the night before and was completely covered with white foam, likely from detergent.  It would have been funny had Meghan and Tanner not wanted to get their engagement pictures in front of the fountain.  We attempted to clear some of the bubbles away which only resulted in us getting wet, soapy, and me dropping an earring in the fountain.  However, despite the suds I think it actually looks pretty cool in the pictures below, and it’s hard to even notice unless you look closely 🙂University of Maryland Engagement Shoot (25 of 34) University of Maryland Engagement Shoot (26 of 34)University of Maryland Engagement Shoot (27 of 34) University of Maryland Engagement Shoot (28 of 34) University of Maryland Engagement Shoot (29 of 34) University of Maryland Engagement Shoot (30 of 34)

Meghan and Tanner first met at a class they shared together in Shoemaker Building on campus. Tanner, ever the gentlemen, used to bring Meghan Starbucks to class (when she attended, which apparently wasn’t very often) and so we hoped to recreate the scene in their classroom.  Unfortunately, the building was locked, but not to be put off we decided to take pictures on the steps of Shoemaker instead.
